Blog Update - April 10

The SuiteQL Introduction series is now finished. It ended up being 13 posts instead of 10. I’m very happy with how it turned out and I hope you enjoyed it as well. I’m going to write more SuiteQL articles in the future but they will be more advanced and will cover particular use cases. I’ll file them under a new series called SuiteQL Recipes.

The next series I’ll be working on is the Anatomy of SuiteScript series. I’ll be releasing the first few articles tomorrow and the rest of the articles Friday, April 14. This series will look at the basic script types and how they work. I’ll look at all the entry points and how and when to use them.

After that I’ll be creating a series called Implementations Done Right, which will look at common implementation tasks and how to implement them properly.

More series will be coming after that. Some in the works are:

  • SuiteScript API - This will be a series that looks at the different APIs in SuiteScript and how to use them.
  • Accounting From A NetSuite Admin’s Perspective - This will be a series that looks at the accounting side of NetSuite and how to use NetSuite to manage your accounting.
  • Saved Searches: A SuiteQL alternative - This will be a series that looks at creating saved searches.

I’m also pleased to announce that I am currently taking article requests. You can request an article by filling out this form and selecting the “Article Request” option under the subject line.

I’m currently releasing articles every business day, usually around early afternoon PDT. Given how much content I have already written, I may be able to release more than one article a day, though article quality is paramount and I’m a strong believer in quality over quantity.

As far as following the blog, for now you can either follow me on LinkedIn or you can subscribe to the (RSS feed)[/feed.xml]. You can also set up a NetSuite portlet to display the latest posts using the RSS feed.
